Wondering where to eat on your next visit to Sedona?

Sedona is a stunning Arizona desert town just two hours north of Phoenix. It’s red rock formations, vibrant arts scene, and spiritual energy spots attract visitors worldwide. But the food scene is also a big reason people love Sedona.

Sedona has several restaurants with jaw-dropping views and raving reviews. The restaurant scene offers fine dining, casual cafes, and unique fusion cuisine. Sedona may be a small town but it is a foodie’s paradise.

My guide explores where to eat in Sedona. Here are the 20 best casual and fine dining restaurants in Sedona.

Where to Eat For Breakfast & Brunch

Who doesn’t love a hearty breakfast to start their day? Sedona has a great list of breakfast restaurants to satisfy your morning cravings.

Here is a list of where to eat breakfast and brunch in Sedona:

1. The Secret Garden Café (At Tlaquepaque)

"Cheers." Two glasses clinking at The Secret Garden Cafe in Sedona

This is a quaint breakfast spot in Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village. It offers a menu of fresh, locally sourced dishes, including hearty breakfasts, flavorful sandwiches, and vegetarian options. The restaurant is known for its quiche, which is delicious!

They had an assortment of coffees and lattes, and fun adult beverages. We tried the mimosa fight and loved it! The average entrée ranges from about $10 to $19, and you can expect drinks to cost around $7 to $12, depending on the selection.

If the weather permits, you can enjoy your meal on the patio. In mid-July, it was cool enough to sit outside. Parking is easy to find on the perimeter of the shopping center. A reservation is not required.

Located along Highway 179, Shorebird Sedona is the perfect brunch spot. It opens daily at 10am and offers a diverse menu including items like Maryland crab cakes, chicken wings, and various sushi rolls. Entrées are typically priced between $20 and $50.

The drink menu is on point. It features handcrafted cocktails that combine classic techniques with modern twists. The incredible view enhanced our lunch and drink options. The average price of a drink typically ranges from about $10 to $15 for cocktails, while wines by the glass cost around $8 to $12.

The staff was very friendly. We talked with our server for 10+ minutes about popular activities in and around Sedona and received other restaurant recommendations.

3. Pump House Station Urban Eatery and Market

Pump House Station Urban Eatery and Market is the total package with great food and a unique yet cozy ambiance. If weather permits, I recommend sitting on the back patio. You won’t get a view of the Red Rocks, but you’ll enjoy your meal under a shaded canopy of beautiful old trees.

The breakfast menu has a Mexican flair, complementing the Aperol Spritz well. The menu features a variety of dishes, including options like the Urban Burger and Spiced Southwestern Blackened Salmon. The average price for an entrée ranges from $10 to $19. For drinks, you can expect to pay around $8 to $12 for cocktails and other alcoholic beverages.

The service was excellent, and our food came out quickly. They also offer dinner, but in my opinion, the atmosphere is just perfect for breakfast and lunch. No matter the meal, this is still a must-visit Sedona restaurant. A reservation isn’t required.

Where to Eat For Fast Casual

Sometimes, you only have time for a quick meal or need to grab one while on the go. If you find yourself here, you can’t go wrong with these fast casual options.

Here is a list of where to eat in Sedona when you’re in a hurry:

4. Whole Foods Market

Just off State Route 89A on the west side of town, the salad and hot bar at Whole Foods Market is an excellent option if you need to get in and get out but want quality food.

The salad bar is straightforward, and its hot food selections feature foods from around the world. They also have sandwiches, pizza, and a case full of desserts. This is also an opportunity to grab water, creamer, and other snacks to stock your Airbnb or hotel room.

5. Wildflower Bread Company (Red Rocks View)

Wildflower is a great fast-casual option with an incredible view. It’s located at Uptown’s west end in the Pinon Pointe Shops. The menu, atmosphere, and ordering process are similar to Panera Bread.

The menu includes soups, salads, and sandwiches and they do not serve alcohol. The average price for a lunch menu item ranges from $10 to $17. You can order ahead and pick up your meal or enjoy it while overlooking the beautiful view. The restaurant is open for breakfast. Reservations are not available.

In Sedona, great food is found at more than just fine-dining restaurants. Many casual restaurants offer quality food against the stunning red rock views that won’t break the bank.

SaltRock Southwest Kitchen is one of my favorite Sedona restaurants. I love everything about it —the food, drinks, atmosphere, and views.

Their menu celebrates Southwest flavors with dishes like smoked brisket tacos, grilled salmon, and hearty salads, all crafted using fresh, local ingredients. The Lobster Al Pastor was amazing! The average price for an entrée typically ranges from $25 to $40.

Their drink menu is on point, and their signature margaritas were delicious! The average price for an alcoholic drink is around $12.

If it’s too hot to sit outside, the indoor dining and bar still allow you to take in those views. The restaurant is located in Uptown’s Amara Resort & Spa. Valet parking was free. Dinner reservations are available on OpenTable.

8. Thai Spices

My Pink Jeep Tour guide, Wild Bill, highly recommended Thai Spices off 89A. They are known for their healthy take on traditional Thai dishes, keeping them open for 25 years.

Their menu features a range of Thai classics like red and green curries, Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup, and specialty items like pineapple curry and fresh spring rolls. Prices are moderate, averaging around $12–$16 per entrée.

If you’re craving Thai food, this is the place to go in Sedona. Note that reservations are not available.

9. Szechuan Restaurant

Szechuan is another Wild Bill recommendation. They serve up tasty Chinese and Japanese options, blending Szechuan-style dishes like orange chicken and Mongolian beef with fresh sushi rolls like the Caterpillar Roll.

It’s a relaxed spot with both indoor and outdoor seating, and they offer takeout and evening delivery. Entrées generally range from about $12 to $17 and an adult beverage typically costs $8 to $10.

Reservations are not required.

10. Open Range Grill and Tavern (Red Rocks View)

I find myself at the Open Range Grill and Tavern every time I come to Sedona. This Sedona restaurant offers stunning views, and its convenient location makes it a place to eat and sip an adult beverage while you take a shopping break.

Their menu offers a mix of American and Southwestern-inspired dishes, including burgers, flavorful BBQ ribs, steaks, and salads. They have a solid drink menu and the staff is always friendly. Our bartender gave us several additional dining options in Uptown and Old Town Cottonwood.

Entrée range from $18 to $55, with premium items like ribeye and filet mignon on the higher end, while cocktails and other drinks typically cost around $10 to $15. Reservations are not available.

11. Pisa Lisa (Pie-za Lie-za)

Pisa Lisa in Sedona is a cozy, upbeat spot by Chef Lisa Dahl that’s known for its wood-fired pizzas and artisan gelato. Off 89A, Pisa Lisa has a sister location in the Village of Oakcreek and is part of a restaurant portfolio that includes Mariposa.

The atmosphere is cozy, and the menu brings Italy’s flavors and Sedona’s laid-back charm to life. If you aren’t in the mood for a woodfire pizza, their menu offers soup, salads, paninis, and tapas.

89Agave is located in the heart of Uptown off 89A. The name is clever, and the location is convenient.

13. The Vault Uptown (Red Rocks View)

An espresso martini and glass of white wine with the red rocks in the background at The Vault Uptown in Sedona

The Vault Uptown is a quaint Sedona restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and unbeatable views. The atmosphere is stylish, and the staff is friendly. Our bartender gave us many food and activity recommendations in Jerome and Old Town Cottonwood.

Their menu is traditional American food. But don’t let that deter you because it’s elevated and creatively presented. Their menu has prime tomahawk ribeye, delicious flatbreads, and chicken sandwiches. If you enjoy it, you’ll like The Hudson, a sister Sedona restaurant (see number 14).

At The Vault Uptown, you can expect to pay around $20 or more for an average entrée, while alcoholic drinks typically range from $10 to $15 each. Dinner reservations are on OpenTable. Online ordering is also available.

14. The Hudson (Red Rocks View)

The Hudson in Sedona is a local favorite for its killer red rock views and upscale-casual vibe. Located in the Hillside Sedona shopping center, it’s ideal for a post-hike meal or a special night out.

Their menu is larger and more diverse than The Vault Uptown’s. They offer a bit of everything—from truffle fries and Brussels sprouts to hearty mains like herb-roasted chicken. I highly recommend the Mushroom burger and lamb chops.

Plus, their bar serves up a solid lineup of wines, cocktails, and local brews. You can expect to pay around $20–$40 for an entrée and cocktails and alcoholic beverages generally range from $10–$15.

The northwest-facing patio made it a great place to watch the sunset while the purple lights create a magical ambiance. It can get busy so I recommend making a reservation on OpenTable.

15. Elote Café (Red Rocks View)

It’s easy to see why Elote Cafe is one of the most popular Mexican restaurants in the U.S. Their menu includes a blend of southwest and Mexican cuisine inspired by Chef Jeff Smedstad’s travels through Mexico. His dishes are fresh, elegant, and creatively plated.

The signature elote appetizer—fire-roasted corn with spicy mayo, lime, and cotija cheese—is a standout dish and the restaurant’s namesake. The menu also features dishes like smoked pork cheeks with a sweet and savory chipotle sauce, and lamb adobo with a rich blend of spices.

Entrees typically range from $20 to $40, while cocktails, like their renowned margaritas, are around $12–$15. Reservations are highly recommended; Elote Café is incredibly popular, and wait times can get lengthy. You can make a reservation through their website.

Where to Eat For Fine Dining

One of the best parts about vacating dining is the excuse to dress up and go out. Sedona exhudes a laid-back vibe but don’t let it fool you. The dining scene has many upscale options.

Here is a list of where to eat in Sedona when you’re craving a fine dining experience:

16. René at Tlaquepaque

The front of René at Tlaquepaque

Glass of wine on a patio table at René, a Sedona restaurant

Renés is a dining gem! The restaurant doesn’t offer red rock views, but sitting on the patio in Tlaquepaque Arts and Crafts Village will teleport you to a quaint European town. We loved this restauant.

The menu offers a mix of French classics and Southwestern flavors. Popular dishes include, steak au poivre, rack of lamb, duck à l’orange, and fresh seafood specials.

Entrées here are on the upscale side, generally ranging from $30 to $50. Alcoholic drinks generally range from $12 to $18 for cocktails, while wines by the glass start around $10 and can go up based on selection. And they do have a fabulous wine selection.

I would recommend making a reservation, but we arrived at 5 p.m. in July and were quickly seated outside. Dinner reservations are available on OpenTable.

17. Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill (Red Rocks View)

Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill is a standout dining experience and may be one of the best meals you ever have. Perched on a hillside, the restaurant offers panoramic red rock views through its floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious outdoor patio—this is where you want to be for sunset. We found the summer evening temperatures were comfortable for outdoor dining.

The menu, crafted by Chef Lisa Dahl (owner of Pisa Lisa), highlights flavors from South America, Central America, and Mexico. Signature dishes include empanadas, ceviche, and wood-fired steaks. The filet mignon was fantastic!

Their cocktail and wine selections are equally impressive. Drinks range from $12 to $18 and entrées generally range from $30 to $60, with appetizers around $15 to $20.

One complaint, the service was a bit slow, but I wouldn’t let that deter you from making a reservation—which you will need. Dinner reservations are available on OpenTable.

18. Che Ah Chi (Red Rocks View)

Che Ah Chi is one of my favorite Sedona restaurant experiences. The restaurant is in the Enchanted Resort, which is voted the best hotel in Sedona. It’s nestled in Boynton Canyon which conveniently requires a scenic drive. I recommend arriving early, ordering a beverage at Tii Gavo, and wandering the wrap-around patio area while you wait for your table.

The restaurant offers an elegant yet relaxed atmosphere, with large windows that frame the incredible landscape. These are some of the best Sedona restaurant views. The menu is steakhouse-eques with dishes like herb-crusted rack of lamb, cedar plank salmon, and various house-made pastas. They serve bread with a fantastic prickly pear butter.

The service was spectacular and our server allowed us to customize our sides. Prices for entrées generally range from $30 to $50. Cocktails typically range from $12 to $18 and wines by the glass start at $10.

Reservations are needed, especially during peak tourist season. They are avaible on OpenTable or their website. The valet is free.

Where to Eat On Your Way In & Out Of Sedona

Sedona isn’t the only town in the area with great places to eat. Surrounding areas like The Village of Oak Creek and Old Town Cottonwood have many popular spots with a variety of cuisine options.

Here is a list of where to eat when you venture outside of Sedona:

19. COLT Grill BBQ and Spirits Village of Oak Creek

Nachos and a vodka cocktail at COLT Grill BBQ and Spirits Village of Oak Creek

COLT Grill BBQ and Spirits Village of Oak Creek is a 15-minute drive south of Sedona along AZ-179. They offer a loaded BBQ menu. The menu features a variety of BBQ classics, including brisket, pulled pork, ribs, and smoked chicken, all slow-cooked to perfection. The pork-pulled nachos were bomb! They also offer tasty sides like coleslaw, baked beans, and mac and cheese.

A view from the tram at Merkin Vineyards Hilltop Winery & Trattoria

When I asked locals what to do in Sedona, they all suggested going to Old Town Cottonwood. If you’re passing through or adding it to your itinerary, stop at Merkin Vineyards Hilltop Winery & Trattoria. Opened in Oct. 2023 by the lead singer of Tool, this establishment is already legendary.

They offer wine tastings by a friendly and well-educated staff, a full bar for non-wine folks, and a delectable craft menu. I recommend macaroni or the Calabrian pizza (if you like spice). The atmosphere is warm and well thought out. The hilltop views are incredible; you can ride the fun tram to avoid the stairs for a $2 charge. I walked up and rode down for free.

The average entrée ranges from $25 to $40 and cocktails and wines range from $10 to $15 per glass.
